Program Description

Because the first Spring Break trip to Florence, Italy was such a success, it is back for 2016!

Regis College is offering a one credit course (ID 219: Food and Culture) with a trip to Italy during the spring 2016 semester.

Students of all majors will have the opportunity to study and explore Florence together, as well as the chance to engage with issues specific to the course.

Although any Regis student may register for this 1-credit course, students planning on enrolling in any of the following spring 2016 courses: HI 108, MS 345, CO 221, CO 332, HI 200, and HI 408—or indeed any course with an international component—would greatly benefit from taking ID 219: Food and Culture, as it provides a wonderful opportunity to apply their classroom learning to the real-world.

Florence is possibly the most beautifully preserved and artistically rich city in the world. Here, artistic treasures and architectural masterpieces of the past blend with ancient streets lined with elegant boutiques, peaceful parks, street side cafes offering steaming hot espresso and fresh biscotti, unforgettable dining establishments and breathtaking views at every turn.

There are limited seats for this trip and they are offered on a first come first served basis. A $500 non-refundable deposit is to be made by 11/6. Deposits are to be sent to the Center for Global Connections in CH 207. Prices are subjected to change.
